the theme for the january tradeshow was ‘the united nations of bread and butter.’ the trade show, which initially launched in cologne germany, then moved to berlin, and seemingly had found a home in barcelona, is moving back to berlin in july.
yesterday, the managing director and founder of the event, karl heinz-müller held a press conference announcing the move back to city. an event staged at the recently closed tempelhof airport, originally designed by architect albert speer, synthesized the best of berlin with music and an eclectic mischmash of people. apparently the people at hugo boss weren’t excited by the fact that their show (which launches berlin fashion week) and party started last night at 8.30pm while the bread and butter party kicked off at 9pm. the BBB party was far more entertaining and the average age was most likely about 10 – 15 years younger than the hugo boss affair.
