Berlin Fashion Week Day 4
we loved the Konk Pop-up Store event. it was on a small side street in the middle of the main gallery strip in mitte. just across the way was an old dance parlor straight out of the 1920s which now also doubles as a restaurant. and the eigen + art gallery which represents some of the best painters in germany. later we’ll add photos. so what about the clothes? well, the t-shirts were funky in a good way. the dresses featured colourful prints. this season seems to be all about colour. which is completely acceptable.
Berlin Fashion Spring/Summer 2012 Day 3 2011
yes, of course it’s not 2012 yet. but 3 days into fashion week we have a better idea of what next year will look like. schumacher’s runway show kicked off today at 10am. as we type peret schaad is readying their wares for the show at 6pm (CET). armani jeans is getting down and dirty with a aperitivo (whatever that is) in the fashion forward kreuzberg district in the city of berlin that ends that ends in a few hours.
we quite enjoyed the greenshow room salon show. the eco warriors were out in fource this year wearing their environmentalism on their sleeves. the event was followed by a cocktail party and a look see for buyers. seeing that it was but 3 in the afternoon, we dutifully avoided the gin n’ tonic and made a beeline for the organic biolimo apple-krauter water and later snagged a double espresso makde from eco beans.

-opening party theme is football and the premiere league. attendees can nibble on bar-b-cue and watch the semi-finals of the world cup (update 1 July)

-yesterday evening, instead of watching the holland versus uruguay football game, john malkovich presented his collection called Technobohemian at the shop The Corner, located in berlin as part of the events for berlin fashion week (update 7 July)
