Sunday, March 13th, 2011will tarantino’s films suck now that sally menke is dead?
Wednesday, September 29th, 2010sally menke, editor of reservior dogs, pulp ficition, kill bill, and basically all of the tarantino films that don’t suck–with the exception of inglorious bastered, has died apparently while hiking in an area usually frequented by yuppies. but unfortunately, she had the misfortune of being out in 113 degree farhrenheit heat (yes, americans still haven’t followed the world and switched to celsius) and so no yuppies were around. arguably it is the editor who makes a film. and by looking at tarantino’s body of work without her name on it, we learn a bit more where his signature style came from and probably who picked all of his music. or at least integrated all the tunes effortlessly into his films. like in signature sequences like the ear scene in reservoir dogs. but, and we just have to point this out, she also edited teenage mutant ninja turtles.

kelsey grammer launches new network
Monday, April 19th, 2010kelsey grammer launches a conservative t.v. network this summer in the u.s. at the moment it is unclear as to whether or not arnold schwarzennegger, bruce willis, chuck norris, clint eastwood will be involved. according to yahoo (the always reliable website whose links disappear at the drop of a hat), comcast is not involved at this point. more information can be found here. we will now file kelsey’s name between keanu reeves and ken livingstone. because here on wordpress, it’s first names first and last names last.

joseph fiennes gets a wig
Thursday, October 1st, 2009joseph fiennes, the last time we saw him was at a gq party in los angeles during which he displayed something we would call, beyond male pattern baldness. but we gave him the big thumbs up for not doing a sweep over and just going with the flow.
but guess the glat look doesn’t work well on the small screen. joseph fiennes, who used nepotism (we would imagine) to claw his way into hollywood and ‘shakespeare in love’ almost 10 years ago has now been reduced to acting on television. he stars in the sci-fi television series flash forward. thank goodness it’s not called flash gordon.
tom delay does the tango
Tuesday, September 29th, 2009this video brings back memories of the episode of ‘lone gunmen’ when melvin frohike did the tango in miami. except tom almost drops his dancing partner. which is too bad. click here to see delay’s moves.
andrew breitbart from breitbart.com (and formerly of the drudge report) recently said that conservatives should never have abandoned popular culture to the liberals. –wonder if he thinks this is the way to reclaim it by putting tom delay on ‘dancing with the stars.’ hopefully he won’t get voted off. despite his slip-up, which was partially due to his having injured his foot a few weeks ago while dancing (apparently), he still managed to tie for last place.
