women failing upward

christine lagarde, newly appointed chief of the IMF was on the verge of being pushed out of nicholas sarkozy’s administration earlier this year. we are proud that ms. lagarde is ushering a new era. not only is she the first female to head the imf, she was also the first women to head the finance ministry in france–where she got into a lot of hot water. she is also the first woman to join an exclusive club which used to be solely populated by men. –the failing upward club.
