is free trade and free movement of people bad? those who believe this should be called anti-capitalist nationalist. is there anything in that phrase that seems remotely positve? we’ve moved past the 19th century whereby people grew their own food for their own consumption, which was then followed by farmers growing food for local consumption. here’s a nice article from the indianapolis star that breaks down the win-win situation of free trade and the lose-lose situation of high tariffs. but if US-Americans (Canadians call the people living below them) want to go back to the 1900s so be it. but go back to the land, start a farm. grow your own food and be self-sufficient. own your own means of production. nobody is stopping you.
