understanding trump

Friday, January 20th, 2017

the hoover institution (which we would one day like to change to the hoover institute) has a decent magazine-style interview program called uncommon knowledge. host peter robinson (it’s always the same dude) sits down for about 45 minutes with his guest (s) to delve deep into a predetermined topic. in this video robert costa formerly of the national review (now with the washington post) who has been following donald trump around for years and apparently always took trump seriously as a presidential candidate, tries to put trump into perspective. it’s an insightful discussion that eschews focusing on trump as theatre and focuses more on objectivity and details.
