a swiss court has decided that roman polanski can post a 4.5M bail. it’s not clear if that quote is in swiss francs, euros or dollars. money talks and the country of bankers responds. but apparently a higher court is appealing this and hopes to block this. the man, whose spent the past 30 years on the lam being tortured by living in a penthouse apartment in paris, forced to buy a chalet in paris and forced to accept money for directing such horrendous films such as ‘frantic,’ probably wouldn’t want to spend his few remaining years in prison.

roman polanski is a client of the u.s. based talent agency icm. in this piece in the new york times, his agent is quoted as saying:
‘“He has traveled openly and transparently,” said Jeff Berg, the chairman of International Creative Management and Mr. Polanski’s agent. ‘
anyone in the entertainment industry knows how hard it is to get an agent in the u.s.. but apparently, it’s no problem for some like polanski who confessed to commiting a crime and then run away from justice.
this addition to the original ‘save roman polanski’ petiton list appears on breitbart.com. perhaps the below listed people might take time to pause and read the original court case on the smoking gun.
Katarina De Meulder
Davide Homitsu Riboli
Marie Nieves Perez Neël
Ysabelle Saura Del Pan
Olivier Soares Barbosa
Eugenia Varela Navarro
Diane von Furstenberg
this is unverified. but according to a commentor on the deadline hollywood daily blog, the list of petition signers (hollywood supporters of polanski) just keeps growing. this is a cut and past job. perhaps a few of these people forgot to read the court case. the smoking gun has reposted the original documents and the victim’s testimony.
so forgive us for duplicating names from the previous post:
Woody Allen, David Lynch, Martin Scorsese, Michael Mann, Wim Wenders, Pedro Almodóvar, Darren Aronofsky, Terry Gilliam, Julian Schnabel, the Dardenne brothers, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Wong Kar-Wai, Walter Salles, Jonathan Demme, Tilda Swinton, Monica Bellucci, Asia Argento and Harvey Weinstein
perhaps harvey weinstein, founder of miramax and co-owner of the weinstein company should’ve read this salon editorial prior to writing this screed. in the independent. in salon, and a previous article in the independent, they point out that 1.) roman polanski pled guity to drugging and raping a 13 year old girl.
